State Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) in United States
State registration for an adviser under the $100 million SEC threshold. Form ADV, renewed every year.
Most investment advisers with less than $100 million under management register with the state securities regulator, not the SEC. The filing is Form ADV. The person giving advice usually needs a qualification such as the Series 65. The state, and whether an exam is still required, is confirmed before we file. This is not a FinCEN registration.
